An Associated Press story, carried on The Miami Herald's web site, reports that the state of Texas could lose out on $7 million in funding because it failed to meet parental reporting requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act. The state was required to release school performance results before the start of the 2004-05 year, so that parents could begin requesting transfers, but the information might not be available until February....
