The Courier-Times of Roxboro, N.C., reports on a visit by the North Carolina State University’s distance education department to Person High School in Roxboro. The university educators wanted to watch a local teacher conduct her distance learning class in government. The class enabled students to question U.S. Rep. Brad Miller, who was in Roxboro. At the same time, students in another county were able to participate in the discussion via videoconferencing, which the district feels is the “key to the future.”
