The Chronicle-Independent of Camden, S.C., reports that Kershaw County’s school board has given the green light to a program that would give every ninth-grader and high school teacher a laptop copmputer. The district will sign a leasing deal with Hewlett-Packard to bring in more than 1,200 laptops over the next three months.
