More internet-based courses to be part of Utah colleges’ future

The Deseret Morning News of Salt Lake City reports that Jerry Fullmer, director of information technology for the Utah System of Higher Education, has been working with Utah’s state colleges to enhance the web-based components in many courses. Salt Lake Community College and Weber State University are two Utah schools which already use the internet in a large percentage of their courses. Fullmer looks to a future long on hybrid courses, which mix distance learning with face-to-face contact.
