Middle school makes computer-aided design a priority

The Advocate, of Stanford, Conn., reports that a middle school in nearby Norwalk has made computer-aided design the focus of what used to be its traditional woodworking classes. Last year, the local school board spent $300,000 on computer labs and software to overhaul the school’s entire technology curriculum.
