A MacCentral.com story, carried by Yahoo!, reports that new evidence suggests long-term use of cell phones can increase a person’s risk for a benign tumor on the auditory nerve, known as an acoustic neuromas. A study found that the risk was almost twice as high for persons who had been using cell phones for 10 years or more. The data referred only to the use of analog phones, rather than the newer digital technology.
