L.A. schools pay the price for failing to maintain equipment

The Los Angeles Daily News reports that more than $1 million worth of computer equipment is now useless to the Los Angeles Unified School District because the school could not afford to maintain it. The decline of this equipment, which came to L.A. Unified through grants 10 years ago, has forced several schools to shut down their technology labs.
