Adobe has announced a call for entries for its fifth annual Design Achievement Awards, which this year expands to 10 countries and nine competition categories. The awards honor the most talented and promising student graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, animators, digital filmmakers, and computer artists from the world’s top design, film, and broadcast schools. Finalists will receive a trip to New York City to participate in the awards event and an opportunity to showcase their work. Winners also will meet with leading industry professionals during studio tours and the ceremony. First-place entries in each category will receive $5,000 and a selection of Adobe products. Students will be able to submit entries from March 14, 2005, to April 29, 2005, with the winners announced at an awards ceremony on July 21, 2005, at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
