The ed-tech conference season heats up again in late March as the Consortium for School Networking’s 10th Annual K-12 School Networking Conference brings nearly 1,000 tech-savvy educators to the Renaissance Hotel in Washington for a March 22-23 gathering that will focus on the uses of technology for transformation.

Recognizing that the information technology world has changed dramatically in the past decade, CoSN is a leader in showcasing and researching the profound effect that technology has had on K-12 education. Organizers say this year’s conference will examine the ways we can use technology creatively and fully to alter fundamentally the teaching and learning environment for students benefit.

Over the past year, CoSN has been involved in some major initiatives documented in the pages of eSchool News. Here is just a brief recap of areas CoSN brought to national attention since its last conference:

CoSN says the 2005 program will also focus on:

  • The role of visionary leadership in technology implementation
  • The use of data to transform teaching and learning
  • The role of students in transforming the learning environment
  • The use of technology as a tool for educational transformation
  • The essential skills required by key technology leaders
  • Best practices from around the world
