The Orlando Sentinel reports that eight local schools have been awarded a combined $800,000 in federal funding to bring more technology into their classrooms. Florida’s Lake County was one of the state’s only two districts to win federal Enhancing Education Through Technology grants. Part of the money will be spent on an ed-tech specialist who will show teachers how to integrate technology into curricula. (Note: This site requires registration.)
