The Fort Leavenworth Lamp of Fort Leavenworth, Kan., reports that local Unified School District 207 has approved a $286,000 initiative to improve network infrastructure by replacing old router switches across the district. Most of the equipment has not been updated since it was installed in 1996. The district will be installing Cisco Catalyst Layer 3 switches, which are expected to be in place for the next seven to nine years.
