Popular student-run blogs giving Iowa districts a headache

KWWL-TV of Waterloo, Iowa, reports that some Eastern Iowa school districts are filtering a number of their students’ blogs from being read inside school buildings. One blogging site, called Xanga.com, is being blocked because local teens have used it to set up blogs containing inappropriate content such as threats against fellow students. So far no one has protested the district’s decision to block the site.
