The Charlotte Observer reports on the rural Chester County (S.C.) district’s effort to become of the region’s most tech-savvy schools, despite the fact that the majority of its students are from low-income homes. Among its goals is a plan to offer wireless network access in all school buildings, and while the district was unable to come up with 500 new laptops, it did find other ways to put technology in students’ hands.
