Small N.Y. district goes high-tech with notification system

The Bennington Banner of Bennington, Vt., reports that the small Hoosick Falls Central School District in upstate New York has purchased an automated system to alert parents to school closings and student absenteeism. The system, developed by a Canadian company called SynreVoice, will cost the district up to $3,700 per year.
