New ad campaign will warn girls about online predators


The New York Times reports that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Ad Council have teamed up to produce a series of television commercials warning teen girls about the risks of sexual predators on the internet. With 87 percent of all U.S. teen-agers using the internet, it was important to alert them to the dangers of meeting up with strangers who might contact them online.
