Oregon legislators eye ‘virtual school district’ for state


The Associated Press, in a story carried by The Oregonian, reports that Oregon is trying to catch up to other states when it comes to the cyberschools movement. A bill in the Oregon Senate would allow the state’s education officials to create an “Oregon Virtual School District” that would open up learning opportunities for thousands of students.
