In his “The Practical Futurist” column for MSNBC.com, Michael Rogers looks at the changing face of libraries, and how it has become necessary to reach today’s young people via the internet because most of them no longer think in terms of traditional books when doing research. Converting millions of books into bits is no easy task, but in the long run, Rogers says, it’s well worth it.
