Saving yearbooks on CD-ROM proves a big hit for Pa. district

The Herald Standard of Uniontown, Pa., reports that the local county’s efforts to preserve copies of the old school yearbooks on compact disc has led to another project — developing a database for all of the schools’ alumni. In addition, the district has been able to raise revenue by selling the CD-ROM versions of the old yearbooks to alumni whose own yearbooks are worn out or lost.
