The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports on last Friday’s hearing in which Superior Court Judge S. Lark Ingram was asked to rule on whether or not Cobb County’s one-to-one laptop computing initiative should be allowed to proceed with funding raised from a 2003 vote approving a sales-tax increase. A lawsuit against the district revolves around the complaint that citizens were not told a higher sales tax would fund a full-blown one-to-one laptop program, and that the money was therefore raised under false pretenses. Judge Ingram said he will rule on the suit “as soon as possible.” (Note: This site requires registration.)
