The Arizona Republic reports that the Scottsdale Unified School District has called for a 2009-10 school-year budget of $12.4 million for technology spending. This would represent a massive increase over the current budget allowances and would require the community to raise its property taxes above a maxmimum amount set by the Arizona Legilsature. The district is hoping to have a referendum on this issue as part of the November 2006 elections....
