The New York Times reports that some public schools in Minnesota are among the first in the nation to offer physical education courses online. Students who enroll in the course can meet their phys-ed requirements by reporting their workouts to teachers via eMail. The workouts must be verified by parents and should include detailed information about the exercises as well as evidence of physical activity, such as heart rate.
