The Boston Globe reports that President Bush recently endorsed efforts to teach the creationism-influenced theory of "intelligent design" as an alternative to Darwin's theory of evolution, even though the National Academy of Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science both say there is no scientific basis for the "intelligent design" theory.
