This fall, freshman at the University of California-Berkeley will be required to take a new online course to boost alcohol awareness, according to a report in The Mercury News. The course, developed in response to several high-profile alcohol-related incidents at the university, is required of all 6,900 incoming students, including freshman and other undergraduates new to the university, the paper said. The course will include a personal survey and a series of customized questions relating to students' personal choices. (Note: this site requires registration.)
