The Daily Herald of Everett, Wash., reports high school students in the Everett Public Schools this year are registering for courses online. The practice, common at colleges and universities, is being adopted by an increasing number of high schools across the nation, as administrators look to give students more flexibility, while lessening the bureaucratic headache that often accompanies paper-based registrations. But while some students like the freedom of enrolling online, others say the computer-based system makes it hard to get the classes they want, especially if they don’t have internet access at home.
