The Huntsville Times in Alabama reports on an attempt by the Madison City Schools to move to digital administration, replacing paper-based teacher manuals and guidebooks, including acceptable-use policies and other official documents, with a new CD-ROM. In the past, the school district has supplied teachers with a binder or “hard copy” of the manual, the paper said. But with the digital version, educators can take it with them and don’t have to worry about losing important documents or leaving papers behind, officials said.
