The Indianapolis Star reports on an Indiana University study that found many teens feeling as if their teachers and administrators don’t care about them. Researchers interviewed more than 80,000 high school students, and discovered that nearly half worried about their basic physical safety in school buildings and would choose another high school if given the chance. In addition, two-thirds of the respondents said they didn’t feel excited about their classes, while one-third said there is no adult in their school who knows them well enough to care about them.
