The Seattle Times reports on two suburban Seattle districts that have brought a dramatic amount of new technology into theirs schools for the 2005-06 academic year. The Shoreline School District is offering an iBook leasing program for three of its schools, while the Kent School District opened the Kent Technology Academy, a small-scale high-tech school residing within one of the district’s middle schools. The Kent Technology Academy, which cost $10 million to build, will be available to 90 seventh-graders who were chosen in a lottery.
