The New York Times reports that Microsoft will unveil a new service called MSN Book Search in its effort to be part of the online book-searching movement already being pursued by Google, Yahoo, and others. Microsoft will also give $5 million to the Open Content Alliance, a Yahoo-backed group working to digitize millions of books for internet reading.
