Recognizing that the best educational environments are created when students, teachers, and parents work together, Box Tops for Education is asking students to explain in 250 to 500 words what they would do to increase parental involvement in their school if they were made principal for a day. Ten grand-prize winners will travel to Washington, D.C., where each student and his or her parent or guardian will have the opportunity to share their creative ideas for new parental involvement in education programs with members of Congress on Capitol Hill.
