Study shows what school failure costs society

On its web site, Teachers College, Columbia University reports on research into the devastating results of failing to educate the U.S. population. “Educational inequity is first and foremost an issue of justice and fairness, but the research findings we’re presenting show that it is also an issue that affects all of us in our daily lives — and will affect our children even more so,” said Henry M. Levin, a professor at Teachers College.
