Interest muted for $100 laptop reports that chairman Craig Barrett of Intel Corp. doesn’t believe the world’s poor will want a $100 laptop–the brainchild of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) media lab run by Nicholas Negroponte. Barrett claims that the poor won’t want the “100 dollar gadget,” but will want a device with the full functionality of a “grown-up PC.”
