The New York Times reports that in Utah, Senate Bill 96 is deeply dividing lawmakers. The bill would require a disclaimer when introducing lessons on evolution. In a state where 90 percent of the elected officials are members of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it was assumed that such a measure would not receive much opposition.
