The New York Times reports that a few companies--Kyocera, Junxion and Top Global--have begun to produce a portable Wi-Fi hotspots in a box. Each box requires the insertion of a PC laptop card provided by a cellular carrier. Once you have the box and insert the card, the portable hotspot allows internet access to any computer within 200 feet of the box.
