The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) has launched a new online Career Center, an interactive job board meant to match employers and recruiters with ed-tech specialists from around the country. CoSN, which developed the Career Center in partnership with Boxwood Technology Inc., a provider of career center services for the association industry, says the service permits job seekers to search for positions free of charge, regardless of whether they are CoSN members. Job seekers can track up to 100 jobs and can apply online for available positions at their convenience. With new RSS (Really Simple Syndication) capability, CoSN says, job seekers also can receive notification of new jobs in real time, without repeated visits and searches on the site. For employers, the site features online job management capabilities, allowing employers to enter job descriptions, check the status of postings, edit information, renew or discontinue postings, and make payments online. With a paid job listing, employers can search the center’s database of resumes, contact qualified candidates, and receive an automatic notification via eMail when new resumes match their chosen criteria. Special introductory pricing discounts are available to CoSN member and non-member employers, the organization said.
