CNN.com reports that a recent study shows that children remember more advertisements than news stories that are broadcast on Channel One. The program, a daily public affairs show is shown in 12,000 U.S. public schools. Schools that agree to show the program on 90 percent of school days receive free satellite dishes and televisions, a situation that skeptics say turns students into captive audiences.
