Illinois State Superintendent of Public Instruction Randy Dunn reportedly is considering recommending that the state board of education cancel the contract of a company hired to provide annual achievement exams after it failed to deliver test materials to school districts on time, according to an AP wire report that first appeared in The Contra Costa Times. The company, Texas-based educational publisher Harcourt Assessment Inc., apologized for the delay and said it was adding staff members to alleviate the problems.
