The Christian Science Monitor reports that Thursday’s House of Representatives vote on the Online Freedom of Speech Act could have a profound effect on the nation’s 30 million-plus bloggers. If the bill fails to pass, you may need a lawyer to discuss politics online. Even if it does pass, you may still need legal representation if you invest more than $250 a year on your blog. The Act started as a fix for the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002, which exempted online communications. The FEC said that this is what the law intended.
