The Sun-Sentinel of Florida reports how some schools in the Sunshine State still are struggling to provide internet and computer access to students. Despite the increasing use of the internet for research and other projects in schools, many students, especially those from poor and minority communities, still are without access, the paper said. And the problem is not unique to Florida. According to a 2005 report from the Pew Internet & American Life Project on Teens and Technology, as many as 3 million students nationwide still don’t have readily available access to the internet.
