News.com reports that PBS is weighing whether they will partner with technology companies in a similar way that Walt Disney Co. has teamed up with Apple to sell episodes of ABC broadcast content on iTunes for download. New President and CEO of PBS, Paula Kerger, said that: “my goal in running PBS is that no matter what choice consumers in the digital age decide to do … we recognize the need to make content available to any of those platforms.” She added that some PBS stations already post shows for free on the Internet, but their ability to do so is dependant on copyrights. Kerger added: “So I think we probably will look at partnerships. I think we will experiment and I think we’ll experiment along the product that seems to make the most sense.” …
