School districts along the Mississippi Gulf Coast have received 2,056 computers and 102 printers to replace systems damaged by Hurricane Katrina on Aug. 29. The Gateway computers and Samsung printers were donated by Best Buy Co. Inc. Schools in Louisiana also received 5,000 computers and 250 printers. Mississippi school districts receiving computers and printers were Bay St. Louis-Waveland, Biloxi, the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi, Gulfport, Hancock County, Jackson County, Ocean Springs, Pascagoula, Pass Christian, Picayune, and Poplarville. In Louisiana, computers were distributed to the Archdiocese of New Orleans schools and schools in Bogalusa, Cameron, Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, Vermillion, and Washington parishes.
