Boston.com reports that the Florida Legislature gave final approval to a bill that will require state high school students to declare a major in a manner similar to college students. Governor Jeb Bush now has to approve the measure. Passed by the state House 90-24, and the Senate 39-1, the bill will also require students to take a fourth year of math, and mandate career planning and instruction for middle school students.
