The Associated Press reports that the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), has reversed a preliminary decision to fashion a “red light district” on the web. Previously the body had approved the .xxx domain name for adult entertainment websites. ICANN had delayed a final decision on the subject in August, after the United States government intervened amidst complaints.
