USA Today reports that iPods are currently more “in” on college campuses than even beer. According to the Student Monitor’s Lifestyle & Media Study, beer is considered by 71 percent of those surveyed to be “in” on campus. In something of a surprise, the iPod garnered 73 percent approval. Only once in the past decade of the survey has beer been overtaken, and that was by the internet–in 1997. In fact, drinking beer tied with making entries on Facebook.com.
