(Markham, Ontario–Aug. 1)–CDI Computers Dealers Inc. (CDI), one of the largest re-marketers of IT equipment in North America, announces the acquisition of Techno-Trade Canada wholesale and brokerage division, one of the leading manufacturers of whitebox systems and IT remarketing.

The purchase of Techno-Trade will increase an already robust offering of refurbished computer hardware through the increase in CDI’s purchasing portfolio. In addition, Erez Pikar, current Techno-Trade Owner and President, will be joining the CDI management team in the role of Director of Purchasing. Mr. Pikar brings with him 15 years of experience in the computer industry and will work to merge the purchasing expertise of CDI and Techno-Trade into the premier source of refurbished IT equipment in North America.

The combination of CDI and Techno-Trade’s purchasing and selling power will provide CDI’s customers with the widest assortment of product, at competitive pricing, while retaining the quality for which CDI has become known.

The retail division of Techno-Trade is not included in the acquired wholesale and brokerage business and will continue operating in Ontario.
Closing date for the acquisition was July 27, 2006.
