Lawmaker subpoenas execs over SATs

Boston.com reports that a New York state senator has subpoenaed members of the College Board over their failure to release a report on scoring errors in the SAT exam. Last October, more than 4,400 high school students nationwide received incorrectly low scores because of a computer glitch. Sen. Kenneth LaValle, a Long Island Republican and chairman of the state Senate Higher Education Committee, wants the College Board to reveal what is in its scoring error report. He has issued a subpoena for the reports release, citing New York’s “truth in testing” law, which requires even preliminary reports to be released to the state legislature…
