Boca Raton News reports that Don Estridge High Tech Middle School principal Debra Johnson has read various studies on the "Mozart Effect," which suggest that students who listened to classical music during the day perform better. So, Johnson decided to replace the typical loud school bell with the softer classical music of Mozart. While Johnson isn't positive all of the research is valid, she does think the music has a calming effect during class changes. Johnson adds that it "gives the kids time to be exposed to classical music." ......
