The Associated Press reports that the popular social-networking site Facebook has decided to open its doors to all internet users. Previously, the site was restricted to mostly high school and college students. This change will now allow users to include previously ineligible friends. However, it also risks alienating some in the online community by changing the tone, which was predicated on trust and privacy. Currently, in order to join, and individual must prove membership in an existing network by using an email address from trusted high schools, colleges, and some selected organizations.
