Upper Saddle River, NJ–September 29, 2006–Pearson Longman ESL’s Top Notch Level 2, a six-level course for international communications, won a Distinguished Achievement Award in the Adult Textbook Category from the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP).
The award was presented at the AEP’s Annual Educational Publishing Summit in Washington, D.C. Top Notch Level 2 was selected by a judging team of experts and was considered for creativity, originality of product, educational value, content vs. medium, and ease of use.
The goal of Top Notch, created for intermediate/low-intermediate students, is to prepare students to understand spoken and written English and to express themselves confidently, accurately, and fluently. The program seeks to replicate as much as possible the authentic ‘voice’ of English so that students can become successful in understanding, and to provide enough practice for students to truly acquire language.
