COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two separate awards were presented to printers of SRA Real Math textbooks, published by SRA/McGraw-Hill, the top provider of specialized research-based educational programs and professional development for elementary schools.

Lehigh Press, which prints Real Math covers, earned a Franklin Award for Excellence for the Book Covers category from the Graphic Arts Association in its annual Neographics contest. The competition is one of the nation’s largest regional graphic communications contests recognizing excellence for graphic arts, packaging, converting, design, and publishing. Lehigh Press in Pennsauken, New Jersey, is a division of Von Hoffmann Printing

The winning entry was displayed at the Neographics Awards Ceremony Exhibition and Dinner, attended by hundreds of industry representatives and their customers, on May 4 in Philadelphia, Pa.

Von Hoffmann Printing, located in St. Louis, prints the Real Math student editions and also was honored with the Pewter Award in the annual Gold Ink Awards presented by the Publishing Executive and Printing Impressions magazines.

The Annual Gold Ink Award is celebrating its 19th year and attracted over 1,500 entries this year. Criteria for award-winning pieces included quality of printing, technical difficulty, and overall visual effectiveness. Winning entries will receive recognition in the special Gold Ink issue of Publishing Executive to be published this October.

“We are very pleased with the quality of the printing of our Real Math textbooks,” said Peter Sayeski, president of the McGraw-Hill Learning Group, which includes SRA. “It’s a great honor for them to be recognized for their work, and we congratulate them.”
