USA Today reports that the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation aims to educate children about diseases through the internet. Because almost a third of online gamers are under the age of 18, the foundation wants to tap into this interest, and has made eight of its games available free online so that kids can educate themselves who suffer from serious diseases. The games were developed in 2001, but were not available online until now. The games provide children with basic disease concepts, pain management, and coping techniques.
